The idea for this piece first came to me while watching one of my all-time favorite films, Stephen Chow’s Kung Fu Hustle. In that movie, the Buddha’s Palm appears as a celestial technique—an ultimate martial arts move that represents limitless power, inner awakening, and the triumph of good over evil. I remember thinking: what if that energy, that symbolism, could be captured in a piece of jewelry?
As I researched further, I learned that the Buddha’s Palm has a history that extends far beyond the silver screen. It first appeared in classic 1960s Hong Kong cinema in a film series that has since become a cult legend.
